So Much Has Happened

So much has happened here on the mountain, but it is spring, and with spring new life returns!

September 7th 2020, Labor Day, California’s largest wildfire in recorded history, 380,000 acres,  593 square miles, roared over Pine Ridge, destroying Cressman’s Store and countless homes. Miraculously, our home escaped unscathed!!!

Though there are numerous reminders down our street and even on our property, the home itself along with the homes of our two closest neighbors sustained no damage.
As I said, it is spring and it is so encouraging to see the green grass, the daffodils and the wildflowers sprouting up.  There is no doubt that things will never be the same as they “used to be” and many burnt sentinels - reminders of the power of nature -

remain, but that cannot stop new life from bursting forth.  Along with that new life comes new hope. There are many new views and even some improvements (the county is widening the road at the 1 mile marker).
Now is the time to take the plunge and choose a simpler, more satisfying, lifestyle.  Imagine having complete control over your own water and sewer.  Imagine enjoying the expanses of your own secluded forest property.  Learn what it means to really appreciate the natural wonders of the Sierra Nevada’s.
It is sad that so many homes were completely destroyed but for the few full time residents of Peterson Road that means unprecedented freedoms and new opportunities.   So, don’t miss out on this once in a lifetime unique opportunity to own an amazing home on five acres in the heart of the Sierra National Forest.
